Located in the hills of Nevis, but also with its own private beach, the 18th century Montpelier Plantation & Beach offers the very best of Nevis.  Surrounded by 60 acres of lush terrain, enjoy peace and serenity throughout your stay.

Overview

Montpelier Plantation boasts 20 sea-view rooms, including 16 rooms and 3 suites. Designed to complement their natural surroundings, the spacious rooms are positioned to take advantage of the trade winds, however all rooms have air-conditioning.

ACCOMMODATIONS


The Rooms

Plantation and Premier Rooms:  535 / 540 Sq Feet. The Premier Rooms are a combination of traditional and tropical design, whereas The Plantation rooms are elegant, plantation style with a modern twist.  All rooms have a private covered veranda, en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, in-room safe, tea & coffee making facilities, mini fridge, irons & ironing boards, hairdryer, Elemis Spa amenities and Wifi.


The Suites

The Garden Suite: 790 Sq Feet. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, The Garden Suite is about nature with a fresh contemporary touch.  It features a large terrace, interior sitting area with a wet bar and floor to ceiling glass windows looking out to the islands beyond Nevis. The look is completed with a four poster bed, bamboo floors and bathroom with rainfall shower. The Suite also has an iPod docking station and espresso machine.

The Villa Suite: 1,472 Sq Feet. The 2-bedroom Villa Suite embraces a much more contemporary style with a private pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea.  Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with views of Nevis Peak. The Suite also has an iPod docking station, Nespresso machine and a flat-screen TV.


THE RESTAURANTS

Indigo

Opened in 2010 with a tapas-inspired menu, Indigo has an extensive list of wines by the glass and offers guests a chic, casual dining option.  It is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Formerly The Terrace, this restaurant was renamed in 2011 in honor of the resort being 750-ft. above sea level.  For unobtrusive, al fresco dining, The Terrace - Montpelier Plantation’s AAA Four Diamond restaurant - is complete with fabulous views overlooking the lights of Charlestown and St. Kitts.  Open nightly for dinner.

The Mill

A 300 year-old sugar mill, converted into the only restaurant of its kind in the world, offers intimate dining in a unique, magical setting.

The Great Room 

Located in the main house, The Great Room provides the perfect setting for evening cocktails and canapes.

Spa

Opened in 2010, the spa offers a full range of treatments for both single guests and couples.  Guests can relax and unwind in the Spa Suite, where experienced therapists use local natural ingredients to indulge the senses and reenergize the body.

Golf

Montpelier Plantation’s secluded private beach is dotted with gazebos, lounge chairs and a pavilion for barbecue lunches.  Regular transportation down the mountain to the beach is provided by the hotel.  Guests can also take advantage of the 60-foot mosaic-tiled freshwater swimming pool, game room and library.

State of the art Trek 4300 mountain bikes, tennis equipment and snorkeling gear are all available for guests free of charge.  Deep sea fishing, sailing, kayaking, scuba diving, horseback riding, waterskiing, windsurfing, nature walks, mountain treks, boat trips, tennis lessons and day trips to St. Barts or St. Kitts can be easily arranged for an additional charge.

Golfers can enjoy the challenging course at the nearby Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course at The Four Seasons.
