There are plenty of fish in our seas and three different ways to reel them in. Fishing licenses are easily available and often included in your fee.
is done by spin casting or fly rod catching the shy, but feisty silvery bonefish that live in the shallow flats and mangroves. Bonefish are too bony to eat, so this is definitely a catch and release sport.
BOTTOM FISHING (or Reef Fishing)
is the most likely to produce bites and catches which is good for children or the novice angler. Hooks are baited with chunks of conch and cast along the reef in along the banks. Common haul includes snapper and grouper.
DEEP SEA FISHING (or Blue Water Fishing)
is some of the best in the Caribbean and it’s only a 15 minutes boat ride from the dock. A thrilling fight on the trolling line can produce big game fish such as marlin, Wahoo, tuna, dolphin fish, and barracuda.
GLASS BOTTOM BOATING:
Explore the beautiful underwater world without getting wet! This dry alternative allows every member of the family to enjoy a commentated navigation of the fish and coral inhabitants of the reef.
Glide through the shallow waters on your own personal water craft. Let the breeze blow your hair back while wave jumping or enroute to some uninhabited islands. Hourly rentals are available on the east and west ends of the island.
Fly a power kite and surf across the waters of Long Bay Beach. This extreme sport takes some practice and skill, but equipment rental and instruction is available for all levels.
View all of Grace Bay’s panoramic beauty from the air on a retractable tethered sail. Soar as high as 450 feet above the water. Suitable for all ages.
Get started on Gansevoort’s own Hobie Cat or go big on a charted catamaran or a traditionally rigged trading schooner. Sail the sheltered waters to your own private beach for sunning, snorkelling or beachcombing.
TCI is on the third largest coral system in the world, so that makes for some incredible diving! There’s an abundance of protected sites with pinnacles, canyons and even a 6000 ft wall drop. Besides the schools of fish, one may see turtles, rays, sharks or whales. Explore the great water wilderness in private, small, and large group dive trips for half or full day rentals. Dive masters can also get you certified.
The best snorkelling on Grace Bay Beach is just a 7 minute walk from Gansevoort and we’ll provide the snorkel gear. Or hire a water excursion company to experience more of the beautiful waters, amazing reef and vibrant fish with a half day or full day trip.
It’s almost like Scuba Diving, but the air tank floats on a raft at the surface and there’s no need to go too far off shore. Small groups explore Provo’s fascinating reef teeming with sea life including turtles, rays, and countless colourful fish. A great family experience for ages 8 and up.
WAKEBOARDING, WATERSKIING, & TUBING:
Whether you’re riding on a board, skis or tube, on the top water activities provide endless fun, even for the spectators. Suitable for those just learning or those daring to try bare foot skiing. WIND SURFING Calm, clear waters protected from the reef system along with constant trade winds make Grace Bay Beach ideal for wind surfing.
Head off the beaten track and explore the northwest areas of the island not accessible by other tours with the exhilaration and excitement of driving your own ATV (All Terrain Vehicle). ATV’s are fully automatic and easy to operate.
Hike, bike, kayak or snorkel through a guided exploration of the islands while learning about the history and geography of the scenic Nature Reserves.

L’Raye Cinema is a fully equipped movie theatre showing the latest releases in air-conditioned theatres, complete with concession stand. There are two evening show times Monday - Thursday and four shows presented Friday - Sunday. The cinema is just a 1 minute drive from the Gansevoort.
