We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Business Development – West Coast

Profile: UJV is looking for an energetic, go-getter, number’s driven, people person, with a strong reputation, who has earned trust and built long-lasting relationships with high-end travel advisors on the West Coast.

Organizational Structure: Will report to the Director of Sales, Wendy Blandon.

Strategy of the position: The BD will be responsible for growing UJV’s presence on the West Coast, developing & servicing high-end travel advisors. Part of the strategy will be focused on driving business to Hawaii, Maldives, USA and French Polynesia. They will assist the DOS to achieve UJV’s quarterly goals by establishing relationships with travel advisors, focusing on quality over quantity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new accounts and keep a close relationship with existing accounts
  • Monitor monthly production and keep good communication with key partners
  • Set goals and incentives to drive more business from existing and potential accounts
  • Responsible for revenue production from allocated accounts and market
  • Seek and contact new potential clients through direct sales calls, fam trips, conference calls and webinars
  • Be an ambassador of our brand by committing to excellent customer service and long-term relationships
  • Entertain potential clients to ensure future business
  • Monitor competitor’s performance in the marketplace looking for opportunities to move market share
  • Maintain account profiles, activity log and sales calls reports
  • Prepare production and sales report for upper management

SKILLS

  • A minimum of 2+ years of sales management experience with a focus on high-end travel advisors on the West Coast
  • Superior negotiation skills are required, must be able to persuade and influence key decision makers in the marketplace
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work with a flexible schedule that will accommodate the achievement of business goals, including travel
  • Ability to create objectives and make strategic decisions and recommendations based on facts, market trends and experience/knowledge
