Amanera
Overview
Sitting on the north coast of the serene Dominican Republic, Amanera is a 60-minute drive from both Puerto Plata (POP) and Samaná El Catey (AZS) airports. The resort lies between the two small villages of Río San Juan and Cabrera. Further to the west lies the town of Cabarete, one of the world’s top-rated windsurfing and kiteboarding destinations, while eastward is the natural deep-water port of Samana, famous for the humpback whales that roam its warm waters during winter. Nestled within more than 2,170 acres of pristine Caribbean jungle, Amanera overlooks the ocean from Playa Grande, whose golden sands make it one of the region’s most beautiful beaches. It is the first golf-integrated Aman. One of the most spectacular golf courses in the world, Playa Grande is a 7,085-yard layout including ten holes played directly on the coastline, with 60-foot drops to the sea. Amanera’s 25 casitas are positioned on the cliffs at the western end of Playa Grande Beach, all offering unobstructed ocean views. The hotel also includes lounge bar, spa, tennis court, gym swimming pool and children's club.
